Modernize Workplace with Office 365 and Teams

The modern workplace is evolving at lightning speed, with distributed teams, brand-new business models, and complex security issues. The right digital tools connect and support employees, wherever they are, to encourage productivity, engagement, and collaboration. Office 365 is our solution for modern workplace with one bundle of products: a smart, efficient operating system, mission-critical enterprise-grade security tools, and seamlessly integrated workplace productivity apps. Office 365 leads to a more connected and collaborative organization, only when fueled by the power of people information, including:

  • Connecting people to the right colleagues, skills, and documents via Delve.
  • Targeted team and private chats through Microsoft Teams.
  • Personalized content through the Office Graph.
  • Powerful business analytics in Power BI.

Advanced People Cards in Outlook and Skype for Business to easily start conversations and calls.

Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams is a single hub for teamwork – a collaborative workspace that enables teams to be more productive by giving them a single and secure location that acts as an integration window for many of the other tools, products, and services within Office 365.
The modern workplace presents many challenges for teamwork. Remote workers. Off-site meetings. Flexible schedules. Geographically dispersed teams. Constantly changing. Multiple communications channels and ways of sharing files and information. Microsoft Teams brings it all together in one place with tools that make it easy to switch on the power of teamwork.

Chat, Call, and Meetings

Stay connected with chat, calls, and meetings within your team and in private or small group conversations. Schedule and join online meetings with HD video, VoIP and dial-in audio conferencing options. Share files, apps or desktop in online meetings and review the important moments later with transcriptions of recorded content.

One Solution to Unite all Apps

As well as providing all the features required for meetings, calling & file sharing it allows for app integration, which basically allows users to access the required apps from a single window within the channel. To illustrate, imagine you’re working on a hybrid project that employs Microsoft Project Online, Azure DevOps, Excel and SharePoint.Typically, a team member would need to open up each individual solution on the desktop or across several browser tabs –however, Microsoft Teams acts like a glue that binds together the workspace for this project. The Team member simply starts up Microsoft Teams in the morning, navigates to the channel and every required tab is open and ready to go. There is a multitude of app integrations available from within the app store, we can even implement any integration with all types of cloud applications.

Project and Portfolio Management

Work takes place within every organization, at all levels, and across every area. Work might be referred to as Project Management, Task Management or Campaign Management and everything in-between. Work needs to be managed, reported, delivered and people need to be able to collaborate. We help organizations to work smarter through the Microsoft Office 365 platform and the solutions within it that enable the modern workplace.

Project for the web

Project for the web is Microsoft’s most recent offering for cloud-based work and project management. Project for the web provides simple, powerful work management capabilities to meet most needs and roles. Project managers and team members can use Project for the web to plan and manage the work of any size.  Project for the web is built on the Microsoft Power Platform. The Power Platform consists of PowerApps, Microsoft Automate, Power BI, and the Common Data Service (CDS). The project for the web data is stored in CDS.

Project Online

Project Online is a flexible online solution for Project Portfolio Management (PPM) and everyday work. Project Online provides powerful project management capabilities for planning, prioritizing, and managing projects and project portfolio investments—from almost anywhere on almost any device. Project Online can be used by administrators, portfolio managers and viewers, project and resource managers, and team leads and members.

The Project for the web service fills the gaps between Microsoft’s current work management tool named Planner, which enables visual task and light project work tracking, and Microsoft’s current enterprise project management tool named Project Online, which supports formalized portfolio, program, and project management. A good way to think of Project for the web is as a complementary technology to the current work management and project management tools offered by Microsoft, as outlined below.

Azure DevOps

Azure DevOps has been created as a successor of Visual Studio Team Services. It is a set of tools, which can help in several ways people who use the “DevOps” methodology for continuous delivery of the highest value for their end-users. Summarizing, we can use Azure DevOps for storing our source code in the GIT repositories, set up an automatic build and release solutions for every new piece of code committed to the repository, as well as plan & track all the activities related to Agile project management on dedicated backlog and set of useful boards.

Agile and DevOps work hand in hand and feed off each other to create a seamless project management solution. Azure DevOps is composed of multiple programs that break down processes into much more manageable pieces for teams to tackle, as following:

  • Azure Boards: provides a software version of agile Kanban board. Users can create tasks and then drag and drop items depending on their status in the pipeline.
  • Azure Repos: Much like Github, Azure DevOps repos allow you to store git repositories. You can also pull, push and commit changes to your codebase. The service provides unlimited cloud-hosted private Git repositories.
  • Azure Artifacts: enables you to create, host, and also share packages among your team. Artifacts in Azure ensure your pipelines have fully integrated package management. This can be achieved with a mere click. You can also create Maven, NPM, and NuGet packages. Here the team size does not matter.
  • Azure Test Plans: It provides you with the toolkit to perform comprehensive testing to ensure your software functions just fine.
  • Azure Pipelines: is a pipeline supported by Azure platform where users can build, test and deploy applications continuously.
